Since I’ve had a lot of difficulty understanding Win 7 file names and paths, when I found this writeup I thought other Win 7 users might also find it helpful. The URL for the location of this information is:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247(VS.85).aspx#file_and_directory_names
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
(To follow the link press CTRL + click)

The info about paths is about half way down from the top.

Note the screen on the left of the display has a LOT of references that you might find useful.

I use Win7 and haven't noticed any difference or had any trouble with paths or filenames.

Am I missing something?:)

PS That article isn't really specific to Win7 in fact I can't see many references to it in the article.
