This year we upgraded to SQL Server 2008, and are trying to create some reports using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services. We have already programmed a few simple reports out of it, and are now getting in to things a little more tricky. Does anyone know of any good books, sites, tutorials that they can recommend on the subject?

I have written Access Reports and Crystal Reports, but don't have much experience with this reporting program. The request is to create the reports using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services because then they can be imbedded in the application software we are using.

Some of the things we are trying to do include:
- Group data by date and show subtotals for each date
- Create report filters where a person can select a client to run, but if they leave that criteria blank, it will return data for ALL clients

Thanks

Denis,

Thanks. I found a bunch of those on the internet. Most are purely beginner and pretty simplistic, and I am past that level, I am trying to go probably to a little more "intermediate" level. I found a User Forum that was helpful here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/threads.

Between this, and a lot of trial and error, I was able to figure these two issues out.
