I am getting a "Microsoft Visual Basic" error message box pop up almost everytime I use my Excel 2007 - thus Excel 2007 is almost useless. The message box pops up with "Microsoft Visual Basic" in the title bar. The box contains a red circle with a white "x" in it. The only options are "O.K." and "Help." No matter which I click on - the box won't go away. Clicking the "X" in the upper right hand corner doesn't get rid of it either. I can not save or do anything and the only way I can get rid of this box is to bring up "Task Manager" and "End Task" on the Excel spread sheet. This happens even when I open Excel and start a new document. I do not use any macros - and I do not use Microsoft Visual Basic. I use Excel only for the most basic functions. (I use Windows 7 64 bit - is there an incompatibility issue with Excel 2007 and 64 bit Windows 7?? I do not get this error box in Word - only Excel.)
What is causing this error message box to pop up - and how can I stop this from happening?? Should I repair Excel 2007 - or go back to Excel 2003??
Thanks for any help!!
