Mismatch of Logical Test and Cell Answer

My formula in the cell is =IF(C190>=$B$9,$F$9*(D52-$B$9), $F$5*(D52-$D$7))

The Cell output is 8.21 - Which is incorrect.

The Logical Test when clicking on function is

Logical Test: C190>=$B$9 TRUE

Value if True $F$9*(D52-$B$9)= 86.2

Value if False $F$5*(D52-$D$7)= 8.21

I've calculated the formula by hand, and the answer is 86.2.

What is causing the mismatch of the cell output and the logical test? Is my file corrupted? What do I do if my file is corrupted?

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple

Sounds strange :). Is your workbook calculation mode set to automatic? except the cell isn't showing the updated value

Try pressing F9 to recalculate the workbook and see what the result is

Yes, the workbook calculation mode is set to automatic. However, because I had a simultaneous equation and couldn't find a way around it, I set the iteration mode on. I've noticed some instability in the workbook ever since I set the mode on. No change when I press F9.

I entered your values and copy pasted the formula and got 86.2.
I suspect that your error is caused by C190 or B9 as text instead of numbers.

Actually, the answer should be 172.4. So my excel program is not even calculating simple arithmetic correctly. Oh I forgot to multiply by .5

I think you are correct. I found some of my parameters set without an = sign in front of it. I'm fixing the problem now. In my latest attempt however, many of the cells got the ref output. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, everything seems to be in math mode and I still have the same problem.

Looks like I solved the problem, but don't know why. Apparently, there was an error in what appeared to be an unrelated cell. However, when I corrected for the error, the mismatch problem was solved. I believe that the workbook being on iterative mode may have something to do with the instability of the program. My program is becoming quite big and complicated.
