Hello,

I have a table with some data on the y axis and months on the x axis.
It looks something like this (I am unable to publicly share the actual chart or data):

ABCDEFGHIJKLM
1JanFebMarAprMayJunJulAugSepOctNovDec
2Plan101520202015101015101020
3Actual10152218181085147

The generated chart looks as it should...except for one problem.

The month labels in the x-axis stop at July.
I haven't been able to get the labels to continue on through the end of the data.
I have checked the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels data range and it is correctly set to the entire month range ($B$1:$M$1).

I noticed that when I hit the Chart Filters button that the Category Name is blanked out after July for some reason.

I feel like the issue stems from this section of data but I cant figure out how to reassign it so that the names appear.
What am I doing wrong here? How can I correct those odd blanks in the Chart Filters window?

Thanks in advance

Does the charted data extend beyond July (to December)?

When I create a simple chart from your data, it works as expected, populated out to December.

I'm really not sure what was going on with the chart. There must've been some sort of formatting issue/mistake when the chart was initially made.

I just went back through it from scratch and it worked fine.

When in doubt, start over. haha

Thanks

If the Y values range extended to all the data to December, but the X values only went to July, the labels would stop and you'd have some unlabeled categories along the axis. The first chart was probably constructed with data through July, and the range was extended aws more data came in. The new chart, made from scratch, probably used the proper X values range.

I didn't think of this until you said that rebuilding the chart made it work.
