Mode if without array

Hi,

I have been using "{mode(if(range:range>value, range:range))}" (confirmed with CSE) and this has worked fine. I now have a requirement to speed up my formula as this uses a lot of time on the large data set - I feel using the array is not helping. I cannot however find a way to do this.

Any advice? It is possibly not worth me sharing what I have tried as nothing I try even gets me close.

Thanks on advance.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Possibly try a helper column, e.g. if data is in A2 down use this formula in B2

=IF(A2>value,A2,"")

Now just use MODE on column B
