Modify QAT with VB

We operate in a Citrix environment and are having issues with the quick access toolbar. Essentially in our environment it will never save, everytime the user leaves the citrix session, when they come back in the QAT is back to default.
I was going to create a macro that a user can save as a personal macro that executes whenever they open excel, importing a saved (exported) QAT, however I cannot find any VB code to modify the QAT. I even tried recording a macro, but changes to the menus were not recorded.
Any help would be appreciated, my next option is to have the users save the QAT in each workbook, but that is labor intensive on the users part.

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Are trying to set up some standard entries on the QAT, as opposed to saving whatever the user puts on there?

Can you put standard files on the Citrix setup that will be there whenever anyone logs on? ( the QAT entries are stored in a file )

Standard would be second, first we would prefer it by user but our citrix environment resets it to 'stock' on every login, until we get around this I thought I would have a macro in the personal.xls that would add the requested items.

Setting it up via the personal.xls ( if possible ) would only give you the same as doing a setup of a standard QAT, as you'd only have a standard personal.xls, wouldn't you?

My understanding is any macro or vb code in personal.xls gets applied when opening any excel file, if I could figure out some code to add items to the QAT then every time that user opened excel the items they needed would be there. As it is now they have to manually add them.

My understanding of Citrix is that you have to add the Personal.xls file to the session ... if you are adding a file to the session, why can't you add the QAT file?

At that point you are above what I want to understand. The network administrator mumbles something about looking into it now that we are in a 2008 r2 domain etc etc.
I just know it has something to do with how citrix and active directory interact, individual session changes aren't stored or something of the sort.
I was just hoping for a quick fix on modifying the QAT, but so far I cannot find any VB that allows for changing it.

The point is that your quick fix would need to have the Personal.xls installed into the session ( as session changes aren't stored ) ... and if you have to get the network administrator to do that, you may as well get them to install the QAT.
