Is there a simple way of modifying column graphs so that the white spaces between groups of categories is minimised. I've got a graph with 20 categories (with 3 data series in each) but the blank spaces between category groups takes up almost as much space as the data itself. Is there any way that I can modify this whilst maintaining a decent sized font for the axes labels.

cheers

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi Tony

Try the following:

Right-click on one of the columns, choose Format Data Series>Options, and change the Gap Width value.

Hope this helps

PGC gave me a reply which has solved the problem which I posted (ie how to minimise the space between categories) but Excel has responded by making the columns wider to fill the available space. Can I restrict the column width for each of the data sets? I want to make the whole chart narrower but still retain a relatively large font size for the labels.
