if I enter any month in "A1" column than the number of days in that particular month should be in column "B1".

eg: A1 = march 2009, than result in B1 = 31
If A1 = February 2009, than Result in B1 = 28

So on for every month.

Is there any way?

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
If A1 is custom formatted as mmmm yyyy then when you type in "February 2009" that's what will display but the underlying value will be the 1st of that month

Then in B1 use this formula to get the number of days

=32-DAY(A1+31)
