Hi,
I have full spreadsheets of approx 65K rows, and in one column is a non-consecutive series of characters (mostly formated like, "ST32009FC"). I want to filter just the ones that contain an "FC" and since they're not in perfect consecutive order, the ADVANCED FILTER option will not help.

How do I filter just the records with the "FC" at the end of the string?

Thanks.

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

Enter another column looking for the FC then filter using that column.

=IF(FIND("FC",A1,1)>0, "FC","")

If FC is there then FC will show in the cell else a #VALUE error will appear, you can then sort by that column.

Use AutoFilter-Custom rather than AdvanceFilter. "Data/Filter/AutoFilter/Custom, Show rows where: equals, *FC", where the * is a wiildcard for anything that comes before FC
