While working on a spreadsheet the user kept getting the message that "fixed cells will be moved". He accepted this and now all of the comments on the page have long lines leading far from the cell. I researched on this board and saw where someone said to go to Tools,Options and changed the comment to show all. They said this would reset the comments. I tried this and it looke like it worked but when I try to go into and edit the comment the long line once again appeared and took me far away to the comment box. Is there any way to reset these comments.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks!!!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
I found that this works for me. Thanks!

Sub ResetComments()
Dim cmt As Comment
For Each cmt In ActiveSheet.Comments
cmt.Shape.Top = cmt.Parent.Top + 5
cmt.Shape.Left = _
cmt.Parent.Offset(0, 1).Left + 5
If ActiveSheet.FilterMode Then
ActiveSheet.ShowAllData
End If
Next
End Sub
