Howdy!

Not quite a year into using the Power Query side of Excel, but continually learning some really great things...most of the time when I hit a wall of some kind. Which leads me here.

I've noticed that some of my Excel files that use PQ will allow me to continue to move about within the workbook, click wherever I please including scrolling down the handy list of Queries & Connections to see which ones have or have not completed their refresh.

Then I have a problem child file that basically tells me "Sit there and don't move", removing any and all functionality and that need/desire to see where I am at in the refresh.

What would be a difference between these two instances to where I would be able to get the problem child to join the cool kids, and satisfy me inability to be patient?

All connections are to desktop located CSV files.
