I would like to read this forum in my Palm Vx with Avantgo as I do with other forums.

Have you considered to create a mobile version of the forum to be read with Avantgo?

By the way, this is a very good example of a forum with two version one "web standard" and the other mobile:

Version standard: http://www.spug.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4

Version mobile: http://www.spug.net/forums/m-forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4&pages=2

As you can see the mobile version excludes all unnecessary links, this is to avoid that when a user select 1 links in deep in the page configuration, unnecessary data is sent to the PDA increasing size and time connection.
