Hi:

I had the DB creator secure it to not allow the shift or f11 (special keys). He wrote some code and these keys "sort of" don't work The database window is not displayed, but if you enter while holding down shift the tools menu is displayed, allowing you to go to startup, and checking the special keys box again and therefore getting the database window to show up. Is there a way to really protect the DB. or is it just half way? I don't know if the rest of the people know, I know which is bad enough (i'm not even the DB administrator, he probably doesn't know).

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney

Hi rebeto,

This is standard behaviour for the database if all you do is tick the options in Tools > Startup. To prevent people from bypassing those options you need some code. This link is a chapter from a book on Access sucurity. It is all about startup options -- worth a read.
