Ok, I am somewhat novice at this....I have an access database with two tables with identical fields (one the user inputs the data, the other is linked to another file to load the most current data....i.e. bond ratings that can changed over time). Is it possible to run a query to pull info from the second form unless certain value are present, then it will pull info from the first table. If so how do I go about this?

Thanks for the help...Matt

It looks like this would be better done with an MS Access Query. Once set up you just need to re-run it when required.

Reading between the lines, it also looks like this is really a 3 table job (?) with an original table that defines which data to pull from from either one of the other 2 depending on criteria set up. (ie a "Make Table Query" - which will make a new table containing just the data you need.)

I am not an Access expert, but there is a dedicated forum here for that application ................
