I wish to employ the getdate() and datepart() functions in Microsoft Query behind a pivot table.

I get an error saying "Undefined function 'getdate' in expression".

I have a book by Zapawa which leads me to believe these functions should work in MS Query.

Does anyone know how I may persuade Excel to recognize them?
