msg box macro

i want to check 2 cells H10 and I10 .....using macro....
they have dates in those cells......

if H10>= I10 , then do nothing ...
if I10 > H10 ...then a msg box shud pop up and say that " Index InValid "

How do i do this ...

Pls help..

what did you try? On the setting you change it to custom and put in the formula you gave

=I10>H10

Then go to the error alert and type in what you want the message to be.

BTW: searching the forum really does offer great solutions and examples.

did not work

as my values are not inputs ....but are formauls....

data validation doesnot work on formula...

thats why i asked for a macro...

can u help
