msgbox(ARGH)

Hi,

I cant seem to get the msgbox function to work. All I want is a message box that says "sheet is protected" an ok button and the title error.

Msgbox ("Sheet is protected", vbOKOnly, "ERROR!")

Just wont work, I think I'm gonna cry, what am I doing wrong???

MY_ENTRY = MsgBox("Sheet is protected", vbOKOnly, "ERROR!")

or something else for MY_ENTRY

Just remove the parentheses ().

You only need the brackets () when you want to trap the user's response - see onlyadrafter's reply. For a straigtforward "OK" only you don't need the brackets, or to specify the vbOKOnly bit :

MsgBox "Sheet is protected", , "ERROR!"
