Our office recently was upgraded to MS Office 2007, and I am having a pickle of a time trying to create a multi columned stacked bar chart.... its been a while but i am pretty sure this was easily done in the last version.... with the chart wizard gone from this version.. i am lost.

Any help would be great... Thx!

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
select data ->insert tab -> Charts -> Select a column chart.
For more specifics you can click on that small arrow to the lower right of the chart section and a form appears with many more selections.
Can you just not find it or is the result not what you want?

The result is not what I am looking for:
I want two columns, stacked, side by side for comparison...

the highlighted in green as one stacked column and the highlighted in yellow as another stacked column...

I get one stacked column with all info stacked... how can i divide this?
The chart doesnt seem to give me the option, or is it the layout of my data?

Do you want the green highlighted row and the light green highlighted stacked one on top of another? And also the same with yellow/light yellow?

If so I don't think there is a way to integrate both stacked and column comparison charts.

But why don't you use Clustered Column - the first one if you want to compare side by side?

yes side by side in one chart for comparison....

edit: I should add as well that I have tried using a secondary axis but it doesnt seem to give me the formatting options as the older version of excel (right or left plotting...)..

Am i missing something?

Select the data and try using Clustered Column chart. This will will show a side by side comparison.
