I need to know how I can paste multiline data into a single cell. Excel always wants to break it down into several rows.

I need to solve this problem asap.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
What type of data is it? Text?
If text, select the cell then format it by checking Wrap text (in the Alignment tab).

It's code, part text and part numbers. The code should just be treated as data.

Word wrap hasn't worked.

SAMPLE:

script type="text/javascript"
google_ad_client = "pub-8084076344898546";
google_ad_width = 120;
google_ad_height = 600;
google_ad_format = "120x600_as";
google_ad_type = "text";
google_ad_channel ="";
google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "000080";
google_color_url = "FFFFFF";
google_color_text = "000000";
//--></script>
script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"
/script
script language='javascript' src='http://www.9clouds.com/astracker/ast.php'></script

I pasted into the cell.

well, the sample made Google ads show on this page because the code is google adsense code.

Ok, now i've edited parts of the code to show you the sample

I see, you are trying to paste Java script into a cell.
Using the standard copy/paste method you are always going to have some sort of table pasted. I am not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish, but I'm not familiar enough with a Java/Excel transfer to offer much assistance. I'll let other, more experienced Excel masters chime in here.

I need to enter this code in many cells, then upload to a website. So I need the code to be entered into the cell just as listed above.

If you want to put all the lines into a single cell, have your cursor IN THE CELL before doing the paste.
To put your cursor in the cell, double-click on the cell, then do your paste. It will place all the lines within the single cell. If you just select a cell, then it will paste each line in its own row.
