Multiple Column Conditional Formatting

I have a fairly simple spreadsheet and I have set up a conditional statement to make the cell backgrounds in column 5 switch colors based on a simple greater than statement. I would also like to have column two syncronize and switch background colors based on the value in column 5 as well. What is the easiest way to acheive this? Is a macro required?

Ryan - conditional formating can do this very easily, but without knowing more details it's difficult to provide a more detailed solution.

One possibility - if what you've already got is dependent on a greater than statement which actually sits in column 5, then maybe you are using the Cell Value Is option in Conditional Formating.
If that is the case, then you may need to explore the Formula Is option instead.

You haven't given any specific details or examples, but something like this.

In cell B2, in Conditional Formatting, use ...
Conditon 1|Formula is: = E2>20|set format etc
