Hey!

I have the following function counting the occurrences of "x" within a certain date range:
=COUNTIFS(O8:AX8,"x",\$O\$7:\$AX\$7,">="&\$A\$4,\$O\$7:\$AX\$7,"<="&\$B\$4)

I would like for the function to count the occurrences of "x", "LE", "L", and "B".

Can I get it to do that?

### Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.

Yes. You may *MANY* criteria to the COUNTIFS. However, all of your ranges references must be the same size.

=COUNTIFS(\$O\$8:\$AX\$8,"x",\$O\$8:\$AX\$8,"L",\$O\$8:\$AX\$8,"B",\$O\$7:\$AX\$7,">="&\$A\$4,\$O\$7:\$AX\$7,"<="&\$B\$4)

Thank you!!!

But you know, I meant to say "x", "LE", "L", OR "B" instead of AND

Does that change things?

Try...

=SUM(COUNTIFS(O8:AX8,{"x","LE","L","B"},\$O\$7:\$AX\$7,">="&\$A\$4,\$O\$7:\$AX\$7,"<="&\$B\$4))
