I am trying to consolidate two workbooks so thay I can get two data series in a pivot chart. I have school data, I want to compare one classrooms data to the whole school. So the item student retention has an average value for the individual classroom and then an average value for the school. I am using the pivot wizard to consolidate multiple ranges for the classroom and school, then create the pivot tables and chart, my problem comes with the slicer. Because I can't add the table to the data model, no option when using the wizard I can't get the relationship between my pivot tables. So each new pivot table needs a new slicer and I can't connect them. The data in the slicer is the same across each table.
