Hi,

I am having great problems trying to use IF with multiple results.

For example:
A1 and B1 have a number
C1 has a WORD (up or down) which is derived form an equasion made with A1 and B1.

I want D1 to have the calculation that IF C1 says "Up" then I want to Minus B1 from A1 but IF C1 says "down" I want to minus B1 from A1.

I have scoured many forums and tutorials and cannot find an answer but this place seems to have the best experts!

Many Thanks
Rich

That reads as the same to me. Perhaps you mean

=IF(C1="Up",A1-B1,IF(C1="down",B1-A1,""))
