I have about 50 words I need to replace with a shortened version of that word. For example, Amethyst to AM, Aqua to AQ, Black to BLK etc. I will need to do this a few times over the next few weeks to new data. I've never used VBA but I'm excellent at copying, pasting and running :) Can someone help me by supplying the code?

Oops, I figured out the answer to my previous post. Just replaced "sheet2.cells.replace" with "selection.replace" (if you can't tell, I'm pretty new to vba and macros).

Something else I'm trying to do is have the list of words to refer to be in a different workbook that's open (my personal macro workbook). Any assistance with that? Thanks.

There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
