Hi,

I have created an excel file where in I want to implement the following things.

1> When user opens the file it should ask for the PASSWORD.
2> If user enters the password, then the file should open in READ-WRITE mode
3> If the user doesn't enter the password then the file should open only in the READ ONLY mode.

Can someone please help me out with this ?

Regards,
Javed.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Go to Options-->Security Tab-->Under "File sharing setting for this workbook" enter a password to modify.
