Hi All,

I would like to know if it is possible to multiply by using IF option.

Example:

A1 is Yearly

The formula I need is: If A1 is yearly then multiply by 52

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Espelucado,
Wil this work for you? =IF(A1="Yearly",A2*52,"")
A1 would be the type (yearly, monthly,etc.)
A2 would be the amount to multiply.
A3 =IF(A1="Yearly",A2*52,"")

Mikerickson,
I didn't know it could be done that way too. Thanks for your input. I'm still learning. I'm waiting for my Slaying Excel Dragons book to arrive. I think this forum is great.
