Greetings all,
We have a spredsheet that has two cells that are hidden right in the middle of cells are displayed. In other words, if there are a group of cells that are arrainged three by three, the middle cell is hidden the formatting is set to general, the sheet is unprotected. And my boss thinks I did this and it is not desired but I don't know it came about. I even pasted special from where the formatting is correct into this cell but to no avail. Please help.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
You haven't accidentally hidden coluumns or rows, have you? Do the columns labels go in alphabetical order and row labels in numeric? Or am I being a bit simplistic.

Thanks for your responses. No rows or columns are hidden, all are in sequnetial order. By hidden I mean you a=cannot see the reult of the formula in the cell unless it is highlighted. Highlighted by selecting more than one cell so the "hidden" cell is in the purple highlighting. The font color is set to automatic.

Maybe there's a conditional format set?

Select the "hidden" cell, then go to Format|Conditional Formatting and see if there are any conditions set.

oops I take that back. Not being fluent in conditional formatting I looked there and saw that there were no conditions selected 1,2 or 3, but there was a less than condtion formula to set the color to white! thanks for the prompt to look again!
