Hi folks,

Novice Excel user here and hoping you can help me :). I'll state the numbers below but essentially I want to know how long it would take (in days)to clear a backlog and show that in a graph.

Data:

Backlog - 600 items
Ability to request new items - 10 per day
Number of days it takes to send item once received - 8 days.

Based on this data, how would I input this in to Excel and it to spit out a graph which ideally should be showing a downward trend. Also if I was to change the value of the 'Ability to request new items' to say 20, that should change how the graph looks.

Any idea? I'm at a total loss :/

Thank you :)

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
