My personal.xls macro workbook won't open

I don't know why this has started to happen but whenever I open Excel, i don't get my personal.xls macro workbook opened.

Before when i opened Excel, it opened personal.xls and i had to create a new workbook for my data. Now when i open Excel, it just opens Book1 and I can't run any macors.

I've tried opening personal.xls and Excel disables all my macros so i can't run them and it comes up with some waffle about security.

I think i need to make my macro workbook visible but i don't know how. Am i right and how do i make it visible?

What version of Excel? If xl2003 or below try going Help>About>Disabled Items and if Personal.xls is listed there, re-enable it.

If xl2007 or above Office Button/File Ribbon>Excel Options>Add-ins>Select Disabled Items in Manage: dropdown and hit Go and do same as above
