My Workbook is missing

My Excel workbook appears to be on the computer. When I open it no sheets open up and all the ribbon commands are grayed out. When I close out, it asks if I want to save or not. I've restarted, copied to another file name, opened and saved, but nothing happens. The file size appears to be in line with what I remember (5.5 Megs).

Any ideas?

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Does this mystery-workbook hasve macros/programming?

Might try ESC to get your ribbon back - Ribbon will grey on performing a cell-edit; possibly something is stuck.

Could try to arrange the window via key-commands: ALT+W, A

Yes, the workbook has macros in it. Esc did not stop anything in progress.

I'm not sure what a Hidden Workbook is, sorry.

I saw on the Excel flash screen that it is open in protected mode?

I can go to VBA and double-click on the workbook, a dialog box says "Project Locked" "Project not viewable".

OK, thought I'd do another search before I posted, and on the View, apparently the "Hide" button was clicked. I clicked unhide and it's there now. Thanks for the help. I was in panic thinking I had lost 5 months of work.
