Hi

Is this possible where a name HELLOTOALLOFYOU will auto appear in cell y662132 where this cell is locked and hidden by a password MYDOGJUMPSLOW.
The name of the sheet is Discounts.

Probably, mate, but really - what on earth are you trying actually achieve here? It might be worth detailing why this is goingto be helpful to you. Also, solution will prob require testing for passwords, which breaks all sorts of forum rules, so an alternative approach might be a better option.

Find 'Unprotect sheet' in the menu, then enter the password. (on the review tab in excel 2007, not sure of menu location on older versions).

What are you trying to do ? Using that cell could make the sheet a lot larger than necessary and subsequent processing slower than expected
