Named Range based on a column value

This table will vary in size with the time (adding more dates)
I am trying to create some named range but filtered on the name.
So the named ranges I would like to create are:
NR_MIKE would be a subset of the above table that only contains the rows which name=MIKE and if possible the column headers as well.
NR_BOB... same but name=BOB this time

In other words, NR_MIKE would be like having a table only populated with rows 1,2,6,9,12

Would somebody know how to achieve this?

Hello bixentel and welcome to the board!

How do you intend on using the named range? I would tend to just name the entire table, something like:

=A1:INDEX(D:D,MATCH(9.99E+302,B:B))

And then I'd use that name in my formulas / macros. But it would help to know what you intend on doing with the table.

basically the goal is to create charts based on those named ranges.
I would have 1 chart per user, growing with the time.
On each chart there would be the 2 series for values and volume.

Basically, sort of a lookup:
=LOOKUP("BOB",A1:A13,C1:C13)

But which would return a range instead of value, so that I can store it in the named range.

You could try to make a pivot table from the data and then drive your charts from the pivot table.

Actualy for your requirement I think pivot table is perhaps the better way to go. Many don't realise but you can build conventional charts off pivot tables - you don't need to use pivot charts. See this article here - particlularly toward the end Making a Reguar Chart using Pivot Table Data.
