Named range graph error

Hi! I was manually creating a graph with 2 data points using named ranges because the data dynamically changes locations based on some variables on the chart. I defined my named ranges and even created a graph using them. When I tried to edit the graph and recreate it however, it started giving me an error message: "Excel found a problem with one or more formula references in this worksheet." Why would it suddenly stop working? Would limiting the named ranges to a single tab cause this error? I can provide more information about the range if necessary...
