Hi all, I have a workbook with many sheet that have named ranges. I have copied one on the sheets and have renamed the ranges within the sheet. i.e
Sheet call Watch ... was copied and named Watch_1
In this sheet there are many named ranges i.e Watch1 (which is in sheet "Watch") has been renamed WatchCode1_1 in sheet Watch_1

I'm now finding that excel doesn't seem to recognise the altered name (as in Watch1_1). I'm guessing it has something to do with the scope setting which is greyed out.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Also if I just create a new named range and call it Watch1_1 it does work. In my case there are hundreds of named ranges so creating new ones would be hellish....
Is there a solution to this?

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Can you elaborate on how you are trying to use the name ?
If you have a sheet scoped name and you are on that sheet, then the sheet scoped name will override the workbook scoped name if it exists.
If you are on a different sheet to the one containing the Name then it will use the workbook scoped version of the name unless you explicitly add the worksheet name as a prefix to the name.
