Say I want to "name a cell" for A2 and B2 as "del1" and "Inc1". I would like to drag or put in the name for A3, B3 as "del2" and "Inc2" and so on in A4, B4. I would like to automate this naming of cells as the arrow indicates, but do not know how ? Furthermore, I would like to in the C column titled "Total" make a formula = "del1 + Inc1" and automate this in further rows in column C ?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.

There is no need to name every cell which houses something...

Just enter in C2...

=A2+B2

or

=SUM(A2:B2)

and copy this down.

But in my case there is a need because when I create a complicated formula with 50 different variables I want to tell what is what not just a bunch of codes like A1, F1 ....

Your example was then pretty unfortunate.

As a rule, you can put all your constants in a separate worksheet and name them appropriately one by one using the Name Box on the Formula Bar. If you want to name definite (non-changing) ranges, you can again use the Name Box. If you want to name changing ranges, you should define names by means of dynamic formulas (using Insert|Name|Define). The latter is often called "dynamic named ranges". Try not to create too many of the latter type for they incure considerable performance costs.
