Hi,

I currently have one master spreadsheet pulling in data from about 50 other excel files into one sheet using IF statements to conditionally link based on which year is entered on the master sheet.

For example,

if year is 2003, link to this cell, or if year is 2004, link to this other cell, and so on out to 2010.

The master file now takes about 20 mins to open up and update all the links. I'm trying to find a better way to do this to improve performance.

Is there a way to change which file you link to based on the result in another cell without using IF?

Or do any of you have other ideas I could try?

Thanks,
Callum

Are you saying your workbook has 50 links to roughly 50 other workbooks all at once?
