Need a hand with matching cells

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
If you want help here I suggest you explain in detail with column numbers etc. Do not just expect us to look at you sheet and understand what you want. I never click on links.

The best description I can offer is that I want cells AB1:AF1 to autofill in based on information that MIGHT in cells L6:L26 without dublicating the values. So if Cell L6 has the text TEE in it and cell L12 has the text 90 FAB in it then I need cell AB1 to fill in with TEE and cell AC1 to fill in with 90 FAB. But then if Cell L10 also has TEE in it, I dont want AD1 to fill in with TEE since it is already in cell AB1.

I hope that clears it up.

Thank you!

austin397,

Does the workbook in your reply #1 contain a macro/macros?

I have had problems in the past when attempting to download an Excel file with macros, with the xls file extension.

Please remove all macros, and, then repost on dropbox.

We would like more information. Please see the Forum Use Guidelines in the following link:

See reply #2 at the next link, if you want to show small screenshots, of the raw data, and, what the results should look like.

Thans for the reply, sorry it took so long to reply.

The workbook doesn't contain macro's but don't worry about that anymore.

So I need cells B2:F2 to auto fill when a cell is filled out in one of the cells from A6:A19 but the cells B2:F2 should only show up once where as the cells A6:A19 may have duplicates as seen on the chart.

When I enter "Tee" into A6, it should auto-fill "Tee" into B2. When I enter "Tee" into A7, it should not auto-fill a second time. When I enter "90 Degree" into A12 it should auto-fill "90 Degree" into cell C2.

Does this make more sense?
