need excel formula or macro to convert date

Hello everybody,

I have a excel sheet containing around 10,000 records.
There is a column called popstartdate containing date in dd/mm/yyyy format.
Now i want popstartdate to be converted to mm/dd/yyyy format.
That is i want all 10,000 records to be converted from dd/mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy format.

How to write macro or any formula for this.

Jst go to your cells format diaog for the range (ctrl + 1) and change the number format to Custom, mm/dd/yyyy.

Hi, Welcome to the board!

Try:

1) highlight the column
2)Format / Cells / custom and enter 'mm/dd/yyyy' (without the quotes) into the 'Type' field

But formatcells->custom->mm/dd/yyyy is effected only for first record.
I want it to be effected to all 10,000 records.
So how to do this.
How to select range from first to last record?

Highlight the whole range THEN press ctrl + 1.
