I have a excel spreadsheet with my inventory on it. Every day I receive a updates from my supplier that has all the current item #‘s. So this means item #‘s are no longer there because they go out of sock and new # ‘s appear for new products.. The number do not match up just by sorting them. I’m looking for a formula in excel to help me match up my item # ‘s with my suppliers # ‘s.. I know excel has formulas but I do not know how to work it...

Column A supplier item #'s to match column B my item #'s..

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

John,

Can you download Colo's utility and post some sample data and expected results?

I would like paste item #'s in A and have it automatically find its = value.

I have around 2500 item #'s. Column A has only current and new item #'s that change day to day. Column B has current and deactivated #'s.
