Hi,
This is my first message here. Could you guys help me?

I need to add text from 2 different columns together.
For instance:
one colums has value=part1
other colum has value=part2

Is there a way I can add or merge both values and make it look now like=part1part2 ??????

When I try merging the cells I know it doesn't work. Is there another way?

Thanks a lot for helping.

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
=A1&A2

...will put both values back to back

if the data is next to each other, a simple approach would be to concatenate the data in a third column. If part1 is in A1 and part2 is in column b1 you could use the formulas below:
=a1&b1 which would return "part1part2" (without the quotes) or
=a1&" "&b1 which would return "part1 part2"
The & does what the word concatenate would do, you can check out concatenate in the help file.

Assuming text1 is in A1 and text2 is in B1, then C1 can be
=A1 & B1
Or if you need a space, comma, dash, etc. between the two...
=A1 & " " & B1
=A1 & "," & B1
=A1 & "-" & B1
{Edit}Three of us in two minutes, might be a record... Oh yeah, and welcome to the board :) {EndEdit}
