Not really sure what you mean by only adjusting part of the column?

Thanks!

Sorry, let me try and clarify. For rows 1-20 I want columns A-D a certain width. But for rows 21-25 I need column D to be wider. How can I adjust column D for rows 21-25 only?

When I click on the column header D up top and adjust the width, it adjusts the entire column, not just the particular cells.

Hope this is not to confusing... I'm so frustrated!

I don't think you can do what you want

it would be like asking, "how can I make row 2 a certain height for for a specific column, and row 2 a different height for another column ? "

maybe you could format the cells d21:d25 and make them word wrap

Click on the cell, press Control and 1 or right click on the cell and go to format cell, then on the 2nd tab, there is a check box for word wrap.

Hope that helps.
