After I download data for my real estate reports I need to convert multiple "Map Codes" to a area name such as South Hill.

For instance the "South Hill" is made up of 25 map codes that read like "A622/135".

I would like to be able to turn all of the map codes into "South Hill" so that my other macro system that actully generates the report can use "South Hill" as an indicator.

My first thought was to build a marco that uses the data filter to select all of the Map Codes I wanted then simply use the Auto Fill to chage them all to "South Hill". It didnt work so well. :)

THanks in advance for any help! I LOVE this board!

Hey
Depending on the numebr of map codes

One way would be to have a seperate table with all the map codesin column A
Then in column B enter the Descriptive text

You can then use VLOOKUP when you have downloaded your data
