Say I want cell A1 = B1, ill simply type in =B1 into A1.

but what if I have "PD-FD" in A1, how can I make it so that they combine?

example

A1= PD-FD B1= 100

I want A1 to read = PD-FD100

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
You can't have a value and a formula in the same cell. You can do this:

A1 =B1&C1

B1 PD-FD

C1 100

Or with 100 in B1:

A1 ="PD-FD"&B1
