=IF(E16=1,H16/1), IF(E16=12,H16/12), IF(E16=4,H16/4,)))

The above formula is not working, can someone tell me what is off???

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Try something like,

=IF(E16=1,H16/1,IF(E16=12,H16/12,IF(E16=4,H16/4,"Undefined")))

Try this.... (Remove a couple of the end parentheses)

=IF(E16=1,H16/1,IF(E16=12,H16/12,IF(E16=4,H16/4,)))

That would fix the formula error but I don't see that formula doing anything more than =H16/E16 assuming that E16 can only equal 1,12, or 4.

The formula seems to be working fine for me. Perhaps you can post your example using one of the programs that convert Excel into html. (See sticky posts in the Excel Questions section.) That might help someone see the problem.

As I stated before, there really isn't a reason to have this formula with all of the if/thens when all you need is a simple division formula. As you can see, the second set of examples gives the same result with the exception that the first set is limited to 1,4, or 12 as a divisor.

so what i notice is when I take one cell with the correct formula and copy over it is copy progressively instead of pulling the same cells from the original formula? How do I stop it from copying over progressively?
