I have the following data:
List of employees (Column A)
Department for each employee (Column B)
Training course completed (Column C)
Course Category (Column D)
Trying to solve for the following:
How many *employees* have completed a course in each course category by department.
I have solved for how many courses in each category have been completed by department using COUNTIFS, but because one employee can complete multiple courses in the same category, this count returned a higher value than the number of people who completed a course in each category.
I am unable to figure out how determine because employees names show up multiple times for the same course category.
Attached a sample of the data.
Please help!
