Guys...please help me in solving this problem..whether I'm alive or dead, all depends on this question since this is my big assignment..

here's the question:

There are six subjects:

Group 1:
1. Indonesian A1
2. English A1

Group 2:
1. Indonesian B
2. English A2
3. English B

Group 3:
1. History
2. Business and Management
3. Economics
4. ITGS

Group 4:
1. Physics
2. Biology
3. Chemistry
4. Environmental System

Group 5:
1. Mathematics
2. Mathematics Studies
3. Computer Science

Group 6:
1. Visual Arts
2. Theatre Arts
3. Music

Each student has to take ONE subject from each group, thus each student will have SIX subjects. However, with exception for Group 6, if they are not typical “music/arts” students, they can choose another subject either from Group 3 or Group 4.

What you need to do:
1. You need to make a simulation, using MS Access showing of how the distribution of class will be with rules:
- Come up with 30 students’ names, and distribute those students as follow:
a. 7 students take a normal grouping, including taking subject from group 6
b. 5 students would like to have double sciences, instead of choosing from group 6
c. 3 students prefer to have Computer Science than Math
d. 5 students like to have Economics and Business
e. 7 students like to have History and Business
f. 2 students will take ITGS and Economics
g. Only 1 student will take Economcis and History

2. You need to set database in a these ways:
a. List each student’s subjects one each groups, in sequence with their respective teacher’s name.
b. List of all students that take Indonesian A1 and English A2
c. List of all students that take Economics and Music
c. List of all students that take Double Sciences
d. List of all non-mathematical students

I know from the question that I need to create relationships first before making FIVE queries in total….This is hard, I still don’t really know how to use relationships.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.

Have you completed anything and are stuck on something that we can help you with? I'm assuming you know SOMEthing about building an Access database. That assignment looks fairly straight forward at first glance.

I can do all excpect the double science one... I have no idea on how to make multiple choices in a field

If I am understanding this correctly, shouldn't the subjects in group 6 be extended to include the other science options? The choice for Group 6 is really one of the three listed, or another from group 3 or 4 that you haven't already picked.

How about you list your current tables and relationships. If you're having troubles like you say I'm wondering if you have your tables set up improperly.
