Need Help With Formula

I've been messing with this all day, but can't seem to get it to come out right. I'm in a 12-team Head-2-Head fantasy basketball league and I'm trying to set up a scoring system for my own use. Here's what I'm looking to do:

Create a formula for each stat category that determines who is first, second, third, etc. in that category. For example, take the category 'points'. I need a formula that will look at a set of values, and whoever has the most points, I want to return a value of '1', return a '2' value for the second most points, and all the way down to the person with the least points, giving them a '12'. Can anybody help me with this? The IF function only supports 7 nested sets, so I didn't think that would work since there are 12 teams. I'm not even sure which function to use at this point.

Thanks,

Hitoshi

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
hi - welcome to the board!

review the excel help file for 'rank' and search the board for 'unique rank' if you don't want ties.
