I have approx. 35 files that I have imported with DBF format. The problem I have is when I attempt to sort the dates sort but not the values. I think the values are in text format but I reformatted the column to numbers, still not working. Thanks for help.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
It's not clear from your example what the problem is because all the dates are unique.

If you want to sort all the data by date, select it all before sorting.

You can quickly convert text that liiks like a number to a real number by clicking the column header, choosing Data|Text to Columns and clicking Finish. Changing the Format won't change the cell contents, only how it looks.

Is it the column with the dates that's the problem.

If so try this:

Select the column with the dates.

Goto Data>Text to columns...

On the 3rd step chose Date for Column data format and MDY from the dropdown.

That should change them to true date values.
