Need help with nested if

Using Excel ’97. I have in H3 30,000, I3 60,000, J3 90,000, I what to look at the number in G17 and if it is =<30,000 do H3-G17, if G17 is between 30,001 and 60,000,do I3-G17, if G17 is over 60,001 then do J3-G17. Does this make any sense? Thanks for the help.

=IF(G17>I3,J3-G17,IF(G17>H3,I3-G17,H3-G17))
